In his WWI Draft Registration Card dated 12 Sept 1918, Frank Henry Hemenway said that he was born 25 Nov 1877. He and his wife, Kate B. Hemenway, were living in Crescent City, Del Norte County, CA, where he was employed as a salesman by J.L. Musick of Crescent City.

Marriage certificate gives wife's name as Kate B. Moore, a native of California and 31 years old. Also shows that Prudence Muncy and William Muncy were witnesses, that a D. M. Marshuian, Pastor Presbyterian Church, performed the ceremnoy and that they
applied for license 28 Sept 1907 and married 29 Sept 1907, recorded 7 Oct 1907 in record book D No 110.
Death certificate for Frank shows: No service in the military. Died at the County Hospital, Crescent City. He was living at 238 Cooper Street, Crescent City. He was buried at the Odd Fellows Memorial Cemetery in Crescent City. Reeders Colonial Chapel was in charge of services. He died of a heart attack. The informant on the certificate is Fred W. Hemenway of San Jose, California. Frank was a Clerk in the Bay Market Grocery Story.
Frank lived with the Strain family in Oregon after his mother married a second time to Ole Pearson. It appears that he came to live in Crescent City at about the age of 24.
