Jean was first married briefly to some "hotshot" who she continually fought with, including on their wedding day. The marriage was annulled and Jean set her sights on marrying "mister proper big shot" Harold Bahan. Harold was quite handsome and was considered a real catch. He was from an upper crust Catholic family, born in Pennsylvania, and he looked upon the Lounsbury family with some disdain, although he was always kind to them. Harold's mother, Agnes, always considered the Bahans to be a class above the Lounsburys. Jean always felt that she "lived up" to the Bahan standards and considered herself lucky to have them accept her. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During WWII, Harold served as a Machinists Mate First Class (MM1) in the US Naval Reserves. In 1949, Harold and Jean Bahan lived in Odessa, Texas, where they owned and operated the small Royalty Heights Grocery Store.
